International Jazz Day is always BIG at the Theatre! This year we give a nod to FRANK SINATRA with multi-award winning jazz singer/musician & laugh-out-loud author DORIAN MODE & his Jazz band.
Old Blue Eyes’ huge contribution to music continues with his velvety voice, punchy phrasing and musicality. He phrased like a horn player whilst conveying the depths of a song. In his movies we see Sinatra’s unique gifts coalesce with humour and a twinkle.
Dorian Mode’s SCREEN SINATRA has sold out around the country exploring Sinatra’s life in film including Young At Heart,
All Of Me and All The Way.
Luxuriate in Sinatra’s music with From Here to Eternity, Three Coins in a Fountain, and the beautiful Someone to Watch Over Me, amongst many more.
A natural entertainer, Dorian Mode and his band will share with you the films of Frank Sinatra with lots of laughs along the way. The show is highly entertaining, peppered with fascinating anecdotes about Frank’s life and unique vocal approach.
‘Dorian Mode is unquestionably one of Australia’s great jazz artists.’ (Sydney News Critics Choice) SCREEN SINATRA explores Old Blue Eyes in film, a format that Sinatra reveled in.
