Many jazz standards have their origin in Broadway musicals, the popular songs from yesteryear. So why couldn't today's jazz revert to songs from the 70's?

Waterloo, Dancing Queen or The Winner Takes it all are famous and perhaps even played a bit too frequently. But what about Waterloo as a jazz ballad or Money, Money, Money in swing?

Dutch Jazz singer Judith Nijland dared to think outside of the box and with her band she took stock of the vast repertoire of the Swedish group. Together they tackled a large number of famous and some more obscure songs. The songs remain intact, but jazz takes over. The result is a creative musical outburst. The audience will be swayed back and forth between recognition and surprise. And ABBA will never sound quite the same again.
